The tropical island of Sri Lanka is geographically well located and blessed with a mild climate all year around and a cool climate in the hill country.
The low lands and the coastal regions have an average temperature of 27°C which is perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the beaches around the Island. The highlands have a temperature between 16°C to 20°C. Sri Lanka has two monsoon seasons. South-west monsoon brings rain to the western, southern and central regions from May to July, while the North-eastern monsoon is from December to January. Overall all regions of the island enjoy a moderate and balmy temperature, making the island an attractive travel destination year round.
