Sri Lanka, an island surrounded by nearly 1600 kms (1000 Miles) of palm fringed coastline, is an ideal destination for beach seekers worldwide. The sun kissed coastline surrounding the island with its glimmering blue waters offers ideal spots for sun bathing or just walk down its golden shores listening to the sound of waves. Further Sri Lanka offers ideal places for water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, scuba diving, kite surfing, snorkeling and etc. Sri Lanka is becoming increasingly popular destination for Dolphin and Whale watching.

Beruwala, Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, Mirissa and Tangalle are among the best Southern beaches. Although Sri Lanka's southern beaches has been long discovered by the international travelers, the East Coast is yet to be fully discovered. Marble beach, Nilaweli, Passikuda, Arugam Bay and Uppuveli beaches in the East coast are also open to sun seekers.
